Our first planting! (March 3 Garden Project)
February 22, 2010
BIG DAY! MOMENTOUS OCCASION! YAHOO! March 3 celebrates today by putting our first seeds into the soil. Carefully chosen words, because we are not putting them into the “ground” yet. Too frozen for that, but Ellen bought two small greenhouses and some seed trays, so we got our early season stuff started: chard, spinach, mâche, french breakfast radishes, leeks. Yummy stuff! We are absolutely giddy with excitement. What could be better than home-made chicken and dumplings, award-winning mac and cheese, vino, and baked Klug peaches with bourbon caramel sauce while sowing seeds with friends? I can’t think of anything.

Yum!!!!!!!! I’m drooling just thinking about the soul-warming menu, with the company of good friends! How wonderful!! (Let me know when the “crop is harvested” and the meal’s ready! … I’ll be there! LOL!)
